Zain KSA took part in the Global Anti-Smoking day (May 31st) and the Environmental awareness day ( June 5th), during which it contributed by posting awareness messages on its social media accounts and shedding light on the dangers of smoking, in addition to raising environmental awareness among employees.

During the campaign, the company used its social media accounts on (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram and Google +) to post messages on the harmful effects that smoking has on one’s health using the slogan “Be their role model”. This was followed by the events of the Environmental Day whose campaign focused on the climate changes taking place around the world.

Zain KSA is keen on actively participating in international awareness activities and adopting global social responsibility initiatives. So far it has contributed to different global, regional and local events as part of the company’s great interest in fulfilling it social responsibility in the Kingdom and promoting sustainability in social activities.

The global Anti-Smoking Day is a worldwide initiative celebrated on May 31st each year. It started with the resolution of the World Health Organization to designate a global day to fight tobacco use in 1987. The world started celebrating the global environmental day on June 5th, 1972, with one city around the world hosting the official events.
