His Excellency Eng. Abdullah Al-Swaha Minister of Communication and Information Technology received in his office His Highness Prince Naif bin Sultan bin Mohammed bin Saud Al Kabeer, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Zain Arabia and the Company’s Chief Executive Officer Mr. Peter Kaliaropoulos who both congratulated the Minister on his new appointment.
During the meeting, both parties discussed the future opportunities of the telecom sector to realize the objectives of the National Transformation Program 2020 and Vision 2030, in line with the Kingdom’s initiatives to position itself as a leading country in terms of the quality of communication and information technologies services.
The meeting also included potential strategies to contribute in achieving the objectives of the National Transformation Program by accelerating the implementation of digital transformation, MBB deployment, and increasing quality and speed of internet services. 
Eng. Al-Swaha and Prince Naif agreed on the importance of the continuous cooperation between the ministry, CITC and Zain Saudi Arabia to maintain the improvement and healthy competition in the Saudi telecom sector.
