Zain KSA has successfully completed its technical and logistical preparations to receive pilgrims in Mecca and Madinah during the pilgrimage season this year, ensuring all services are available.

 

The company heralded it boasts immense operational capabilities that allows it to meet the high demand for its services and network. Zain KSA Boosted its 4G+ network and introducing 5G services for pilgrims coming from all ports, in addition to enhancing the capacity of the network, particularly in the Mecca and Madinah regions.

 

During the inauguration of the hajj awareness campaign titled "Hajj is a call and a straight approach 1440H", HH Prince Khalid Al-Faisal bin AbdulAziz, Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, Governor of Makkah Region, and Chairman of Hajj Central Committee, honored Zain KSA for its support toward the campaign.. This ceremony took place at the Emirate's Office in the Holy Capital. The campaign, under the slogan "Hajj is a message of peace", aims to highlight hajj as a time for worship and civilized behaviour.

 

On a related note, HE Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Eng. Abdullah Al Sawahah visited the company's tent in Mina, where His Excellency reviewed the preparations of the company and its operational, technical and human capabilities which are all leveraged toward the service of the Guests of Al-Rahman.

 

In this regard, Zain KSA confirmed successful coverage of the main areas of Makkah and the holy sites with 5G technology. The company managed to achieve this by implementing TDD technology and increasing frequency spectrum capacity, thus boosting internet speed for its users.

 

Zain KSA also revealed that it has also succeeded in expanding the capacity and coverage of its 4G network at the Jamarat site in addition to covering all main areas of Mecca and holy sites with Wi-Fi.

 

Speaking on this occasion, Sultan bin AbdulAziz AlDegaither, Chief Executive Officer of Zain KSA, said: "The company is tremendously proud to be an active entity in serving the guests of Al-Rahman. Everyone working at Zain KSA is keen to provide excellent service to the pilgrims. It is our responsibility as Zain’s top management to motivate our employees to deliver their best, most creative performances.”

 

The company expressed its sheer pride for being among entities working actively in the service of the guests of Allah, as per directives of the government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques. King Salman bin AbdulAziz, may Allah protect him. The directives stipulate the need for both governmental and private entities to join efforts in the services of the pilgrims of The House of Allah, who are coming from every corner in the world to perform their respective rituals.

Zain CEO also stated that the company has fully verified readiness of all field teams and control centers to monitor the network around the clock, and are well prepared in the event of any emergency.

 

Services offered by Zain KSA along with other companies is merely an extension of its continuous work in the service of visitors to the two Holy Mosques, all in parallel with the great services provided by the Government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz.
