Zain KSA and Huawei to launch TechCity in Riyadh

Zain KSA and Huawei have announced signing of a memorandum of understanding for the launch of a TechCity in the capital city of the Kingdom, Riyadh. The MOU was unveiled on the sidelines of the Mobile World Congress (MWC 2015) held at Barcelona, Spain.
The new technology will enable Zain to provide unique customer experience to its subscribers with a view to getting access to new services and solutions on voice and video calls and Internet.
Following signing of the MOU, Mr. Hassan Kabbani, Zain KSA CEO said “The signing of this memorandum of understanding with our partners Huawei comes on the context of the plans to be adopted by Zain KSA to develop top-notch services and products to enrich its customers’ experiences. The first stage of this project will be initially executed in a given area inside the City of Riyadh, and then will be applied to other areas to include the whole city.”
Mr. Hassan added that the huge growth in Zain’s customer base was the main drive to inject more investments in its state-of-the-art 4G network and that Zain is fully ambitious to be a pioneer service provide in terms of the levels of quality provided for its subscribers.
Dr. Liang Hua, President of Huawei Global Service and Delivery said “Zain KSA’s advanced network which is considered the latest in the Kingdom will help us achieving great results in relation to this project. We believe that applying such advanced technologies will strengthen our presence in the Saudi market and the region in general.”
