Zain KSA Launches the Open Access Agreement
a new era for Saudi ICT services
Zain KSA who has been recently recognized as possessing the fastest fixed network speed in the Kingdom, by the renowned and highly trusted company Ookla, announces its takeoff on the agreement to open access broadband for fixed communication networks to provide Zain Fiber services to all regions and cities of the Kingdom, to which the broadband infrastructure (fiber) reaches all companies.
For his part, Eng. Saad bin Abdul Rahman Al-Sadhan, Chief Business and Wholesale Officer at Zain KSA, confirmed that the broadband open service will provide unlimited and high-speed internet to its customers through competitive packages and excellent quality.
Al-Sadhan pointed to the diversity of the unlimited “Zain Fiber” packages in four speeds, which are Zain Fiber 50 Mbps, Zain Fiber 75 Mbps and Zain Fiber 100 Mbps, noting that Zain KSA offers Fiber 500 Mbps, which is considered the fastest Optical Fiber service package, pointing out that the company is the first operator to offer this speed in the Kingdom.
It is worth noting, the agreement initiated earlier by the Communications and Information Technology Commission last February, aims to take full advantage of the huge infrastructure that provides ICT services in Saudi. Placing the Kingdom among the pioneers to approve this service worldwide. For it enables telecom service providers to collectively use the fixed broadband infrastructure (optic fibers) of all telecoms companies to serve users throughout the Kingdom, regardless of the infrastructure ownership.
