In a strategic move expected to deliver ICT solutions to the business sector, Zain SA has signed a new MoU with Alibaba Cloud, the cloud-computing arm of Alibaba Group, and Jawraa, the latter’s local partner. This agreement aims to promote private cloud computing for businesses in Saudi Arabia.


Through this MoU, Zain SA seeks to achieve high-level understandings that effectively translate the company's active pursuit to be a leader in this field and expand its portfolio of services to business customers. This, in turn, will boost commercial activities in the market, in ways that would serve the business sector, SMEs, and entrepreneurship. Increase the telecommunications sector’s GDP contribution, and help realize the digital transformation strategy of Vision 2030.


Alibaba Cloud is the world's third largest cloud computing company, while Zain SA possess unique competitive tools that have boosted the company's share in one of the largest telecommunications markets in the Middle East; the Saudi market.
