With better commercial and financing terms
Zain KSA Secures SAR 5.5 Billion Strategic Refinancing Agreement
Zain KSA, leading telecom and digital services provider in Saudi Arabia, announced it has signed a SAR 5.5 billion Murabaha facility agreement with a consortium of five banks: Al Rajhi Bank, Arab National Bank, Saudi National Bank, Riyad Bank, and Gulf International Bank. The five-year facility, which carries a one-year grace period, has a repayment schedule ending on September 30, 2030. The refinancing offers more favorable commercial terms than previous arrangements, the company has stated.
Eng. Abdullah bin Fahad Al-Fares, Chairman of the Board of Directors at Zain KSA, said:
“Zain KSA is accelerating its expansion strategy underpinned by strategic investments, operational excellence, financial discipline, and robust governance, all supported by a favorable economic and financial environment. We are also expanding into adjacent high-growth markets such as fintech and e-sports. Our goal is to be a national enabler of Saudi Vision 2030, contributing to a vibrant society, a thriving economy, and an ambitious nation. This new Murabaha facility with improved terms reflects the banking sector’s confidence in our financial strength and long-term strategy, while enhancing our flexibility to sustain our investments and drive future growth.”

Zain KSA also rolled out the first phase of commercial 5G Standalone deployment on the 600 MHz frequency band and delivered 4G and 5G coverage within the Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq Tunnel in Riyadh, improving connectivity along one of the longest tunnels in the Middle East.
