Zain KSA Launches AI and Technology Skills Development Programs

for Students and Educators through IBM SkillsBuild

Zain KSA, a leading digital services provider, has launched two free learning programs through IBM SkillsBuild, IBM’s free technology education program, to help students, educators, and education professionals across Saudi Arabia build practical skills in artificial intelligence and other emerging technologies.

The programs will give learners access to educational content, live sessions and opportunities to earn digital credentials across key areas, including data, artificial intelligence, cloud computing, cybersecurity, and quantum computing. Leveraging the educational content and resources available through the program, Zain KSA aims to equip educators with the knowledge needed to understand AI and emerging technologies and apply them responsibly in the classroom, while also enabling students to build practical knowledge in technologies shaping the future of the digital economy.

The launch coincides with the Year of Artificial Intelligence and reflects a broader focus on building digital capabilities across Saudi Arabia’s education sector. Through IBM SkillsBuild, participants will have access to learning opportunities designed to help them develop practical technology skills and strengthen their understanding of how emerging technologies can be used effectively and responsibly.

The initiative includes two learning tracks delivered through IBM SkillsBuild. The first is designed for educators and professionals working in the education sector, while the second enables students and individuals interested in emerging technologies to build foundational knowledge in these key technologies.

Mrs. Loluwah bint Saad Alnowaiser, Executive Vice President of Human Resources at Zain KSA, added

We believe that empowering students and educators with digital knowledge and skills is a direct investment in the future of the Kingdom. Through IBM SkillsBuild, we are making quality learning opportunities accessible to young people, enabling them to develop practical skills in artificial intelligence and emerging technologies, while enhancing their readiness for the opportunities of the future. This, in turn, contributes to the development of human capital and supports the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.

Participants will learn through a combination of self-paced learning, live sessions, and digital educational resources. Participants who complete the learning requirements will be eligible to earn digital credentials. This initiative reflects Zain KSA’s commitment to expanding access to digital knowledge, developing future skills, and enhancing the readiness of students and educators to leverage artificial intelligence responsibly and effectively. It also contributes to human capital development and greater digital inclusion, in alignment with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
